For my mitzvah project I am collecting personal care items and and toys to support children and families living in transitional housing. I chose this project because the one theme of my Torah portion, Vayikra, is connection. These families are going through challenging times and I want them to feel connected and supported by their community. This collection drive will enable children in the program to have new toys on their birthday and for their parents have what they need.

Homestretch Inc. is a Falls Church, Virginia-based non-profit that helps homeless families with children achieve self-sufficiency through a two-year transitional housing program, providing holistic support like job training, financial literacy, and childcare.
